Dizzy v5.4.5 is live: better Stories, smarter calls, safer schedules, and cleaner creator pages

Dizzy v5.4.5 is now available, and this release is built around one simple goal: make the platform feel more reliable, more polished, and easier to trust in daily use.

This update is not only a visual refresh. It improves the places where small issues can cost you time: Stories that should look the same after publishing, scheduled content that should respect time, call sessions that should clean up correctly, and public pages that should stay professional on every screen size.

What changed in v5.4.5?

1. A stronger Story creation and viewing experience

Stories received one of the biggest upgrades in this release. Text, stickers, links, mentions, and quick replies can now be positioned and scaled before publishing, and the published Story viewer is designed to match the editor more closely across desktop, tablet, and mobile.

We also improved Story audio and sticker pickers, upload progress, mobile editor panels, profile highlights, clickable overlay links, mention behavior, quick reply styling, and several edge cases where a newly published Story could fail to appear for the owner on older installations.

2. Audio calls, paid call improvements, and video call polish

Private chat now supports managed audio calls, including admin settings, token handling, paid audio call flows, balance checks, translated call messages, and dedicated purchase or insufficient-credit modals.

Video calls were also improved. Remote video now uses a stronger fullscreen presentation, the local camera stays in a smaller 16:9 preview, failed call starts clean up more safely, and ending one call no longer blocks the next call from starting correctly.

3. Scheduled content is more dependable

Scheduled posts and scheduled live stream labels now handle browser timezone output more clearly. v5.4.5 also adds a throttled fallback publisher during normal site visits, helping reduce missed scheduled posts when server cron is delayed or not configured yet.

The scheduled publisher also uses safer queue locking, reducing the chance of duplicate processing when cron and fallback publishing run near the same time.

4. Cleaner landing pages and right sidebar widgets

The public landing page creator cards were rebuilt to follow the main creators page structure more closely. Creator cover areas, avatars, names, usernames, category badges, stats, latest-post previews, and empty states now behave more consistently on desktop and mobile.

The right sidebar also received a broad polish pass: Suggested Creators, Boosted Creators, Trending Hashtags, Top Creators, product cards, Friends Activity, invite widgets, and spacing behavior were tightened so the page feels cleaner and easier to scan.

5. Reels interaction and performance improvements

Reels now handles desktop controls better on shorter screens. The speaker button is easier to click, the action column avoids overlap, and video loading is lighter because full preload is focused on the active Reel and the next Reel.

6. Customer-reported fixes that matter in production

v5.4.5 includes fixes for gifted profile frames, frontend favicon output, browser push preferences, advertisement text wrapping, long-word overflow, homepage alignment, admin announcement saving, SVG icon imports, and Audio Room package management.

Audio Room packages are now safer to manage: repeated saves are protected, disabled packages remain editable, deleted packages are archived for history, and existing payment or room references remain valid.

Update reliability was also improved

We paid special attention to upgrade behavior. The v5.4.5 update SQL was adjusted to avoid wide-table row-size problems, preserve existing payment enum values before adding new ones, and keep upgraded installations aligned with clean installs.

That means the update is designed for real customer environments, including different hosting providers, subfolders, subdomains, existing data, and previously activated installations.

Before updating

Please back up your website files and database before applying any update. Your current installation should already be on Dizzy v5.4.4 before applying the v5.4.5 update package.

After updating, we recommend testing Stories, Reels, chat, audio/video calls, scheduled posts, landing pages, and right sidebar widgets from both desktop and mobile screen sizes.
